About Us

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation was established on June 27, 1966. Recognizing the vital need for post-high school education and the increasing financial responsibility that it places on families, the Foundation awarded its first scholarships in 1967.

Since then, we have proudly awarded scholarships to 3,317 students totaling over $3.5 million.

The scholarship Foundation raises funds through our annual Dollars for Students campaign.

In addition to the Foundation’s Dollars for Students awards, we currently administer over 40 separate honorary and memorial scholarships. These awards are funded via individuals or groups from our community and beyond. These scholarships can be set up as a one-time award, or be awarded annually. For information on establishing an honorary or memorial scholarship, please contact the Foundation president, Michelle Wywra.

Funds received are utilized to grant scholarship assistance to qualifying high school students and current college students who reside in Scotch Plains or Fanwood, New Jersey.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation qualifies as a charitable organization under IRS section 501(c)(3). Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.

Contributions are welcomed anytime. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation, send your check made payable to “The SPF Scholarship Foundation” to P.O. Box 123, Fanwood, NJ 07023. You may also donate through our secure PayPal link. Click here to donate.
